He joined the medical staff at MCCH in 1992. Dr. Dean has served as Medical Staff President and currently serves as the cancer conference coordinator and on the cancer committee.  He also served for eight years in the USAR Medical Corps.

“I was blessed to have landed in this great town of Murray at MCCH where the surgeons and medical staff have been excellent colleagues. It has been a fantastic journey but I can’t wait to see what life holds for me and my family in the next chapter,” said Dr. Dean.

Upon retirement, Dr. Dean and his wife Robin will move to Lexington, KY to be near their daughter Hailey and grandson William. Their son Kyle resides in Nashville, TN, where he is the director of the neurodiagnostics training program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Dean will officially retire on June 30th, which is a very significant date for several reasons including it is his wife’s birthday, and their 40th wedding anniversary. A joint retirement celebration has been set for June 22 to recognize Dr. John Yezerski and Dr. Dewey Dean on their retirements.
